Benton is the founder and chief executive officer of NewME Accelerator, a program that aims to accelerate, educate and empower underrepresented tech talent throughout the world. NewME Accelerator was started in 2011 and is based in San Francisco. Previously, Benton worked at several IAC/InterActive Corp. businesses including RealEstate.com, LendingTree.com and RushmoreDrive.com. In 2007, she launched BlackWeb20.com, an online publication for African-Americans interested in technology and new media.
